I always remind myself that the handful of folks that take the time to comment (and/or troll) on the blog make up a tiny, tiny minority of the overall readership. For every hater writing in with something hateful to say, there are hundreds more readers just reading the post, possibly enjoying it, and then moving on.

Friend texted me a link this morning to a Mission Mission post featuring that picture of me peeing out the window of a bus.

The best part is - valued Mission “residents” & “concerned citizens” suggesting I be maimed / raped / murdered / etc as “punishment” for my “crime.”

Considering Mission Mission’s long standing reputation for readers with nothing better to do than spew senseless, entitled hate about a neighborhood they moved into 5 years ago when their tech startup made it big and they decided they should move out of the Marina to be “artsy,” I was less than surprised that these “adults” seriously couldn’t handle the thought of someone committing a petty crime for laughs in their respected community. Let’s disregard the fact that this actually happened outside their “respected community” for the moment, because frankly these are people who give not a single shit about anything besides the sound of their own self-righteous whining on the internet.

“Herr Doktor Professor Deth Vegetable” is the same concerned citizen who told a friend of mine to “get a real bike” after his much loved Bianchi was stolen. Now he suggests:

“Push that fucking disgusting carbuncle upon our society out that goddamn window.”

“Actually, her blog features pictures of her peeing out of a 3rd story window, too. Push her out of that one instead, it’s more likely to put a permanent end to this problem.”

Wow dude, really? Your concept of right and wrong is fucking OUT THERE. I mean, let’s go ahead and make the Mission a better place by mocking people who have their bikes stolen, and, better yet, let’s just kill off anyone who pisses (hah) you off. Except for “the hispanic community” because your white ass still feels badly for “gentrifying” a neighborhood where you pay rent just so you can tell people proudly that you live in a “hub of San Francisco culture.”

My favorite:

“put MS13 in charge of the mission, they’ll turn that ho out… it woulda been really way rad if some homeless rapist stuck red hot crackpipes and dirty syringes up her anal cunt while she was hangin out the window, hell maybe even a prolapsed colon around the axle or string her up from the power line, lolz i don’t miss the fucking mission”

Not to mention someone who trolled my Twitter account long enough to determine where I work and then suggests that people come harass me AND slander said small, independent businesses in the Mission. 

These are the same people who are outraged over shit like Yelp’s “Hipster” category “misuse” and Janebook’s hilarious commentary on “what constitutes a regular job.”

These are people that literally HATE JOKES. 

I mean, 30-something, bitter, pretentious assholes who *maybe* live or work in the Mission clearly have every right to act out their anger issues by threatening to maim, rape, and murder a young woman, but, oh shit… are we talking about the Mission Rapist, or just other deluded assholes who also believe that this sort of behavior is ok?

Because men who call woman “sluts” and “dirty whores” and suggest that “some homeless rapist stuck red hot crackpipes and dirty syringes up her anal cunt” are exactly the kind of chauvinist pigs who make the world a fucking horrible, unsafe place.

So yeah, I PEED OUT A BUS WINDOW, but you degenerates bought into the mindset and suggested the kind of violence of psychopaths who take your talk seriously and DO rape, maim, and murder the women (like me) who work for you sorry, entitled pricks when you spend time in the Mission.

I’m not fucking sorry, and I’m far more ashamed that I live in a city where senseless, violent threats on a neighborhood blog are considered acceptable than I am for peeing out a fucking bus window. 

I may be young, and I may do dumb shit sometimes for the laughs, but at least I’m not “mature and wise” enough to slander a young woman for a petty crime and suggest violence as punishment. 

You people are sick.
